We created the National Free Throw Championship to answer one simple question: Who is the best free-throw shooter in the country?
Winning takes more than finding a rhythm. It takes focus, consistency, and the ability to deliver under pressure, when every shot counts. The NFTC is an open competition where anyone can step to the line, test their nerve, and compete for a national title. This year’s champion will be crowned by the NBA's #1 free-throw shooter in 2026, Cam Spencer.
Do you have what it takes?
Sign up in-person to get in the NFTC Free Throw Line. Players will attempt to achieve a streak of consecutive made free throws. If the player misses, their turn is over. Players may enter again by going to back of the queue.
Top streaks will be added to the running live leaderboard until Saturday at 8pm ET. At that time, the top 16 players will be selected to advance to the Bracket Finals on Sunday!
The Championship Finals (Sunday)
The Top 16 Players from qualifying will face-off in a single-elimination bracket on Sunday in our "NFTC Duel" format. The bracket will be seeded based on their Leaderboard score from qualifying.

What is the NFCT Duel format?
Players face off head-to-head as follows:
Rock, Paper, Scissors to determine who picks the Round 1 shooting order.
The RPS winner decides to either shoot first or second.
Both players each shoot one (1) Free Throw, in the order decided.
If both players miss or both players make - both players shoot again, following the same order.
If one player makes while the other misses, the player who makes the shot Wins a Point and Round 1 is over.
The player who does NOT win a point chooses the Round 2 order.
Play proceeds, repeating the steps of Round 1 until someone Wins a Point. The player who does NOT win the point always chooses the next round's order.
First to THREE points wins!
